It’s Monday!!! Time for a NEW challenge at The Cheerful Stamp Pad……Use Some Flowers.

Challenge #83 at the Cheerful Stamp Pad is to use some flowers, how easy is this challenge? The sponsor for challenge #83 is Bugaboo Stamps check them out, they have super cute and lots more. I used a bugaboo digi stamp called girl with flowers, kinda appropriate don’tcha think. lol. coloured with my spectrum noir and copics (for the skin) Attached it to my favourite colours.”purple”.
IMG_2046
The image is one of the images I picked when I won a challenge at Catch The Bug, I thought it would be a great Mom’s day card. I am not sure of the names of the light mauve, but the darker on is Elegant Eggplant. I put the light mauve layer through the big shot in the argyle folder by cuttlebug, added ribbon from the dollar store and the flowers were off a stem of flowers from a yard sale.

Here is the inside of the card
Challenges I am entering this in are:
Catch the Bug challenge…..March recipe challenge, use 4 layers a flower and a ribbon.
Thanks for visiting me today and come back again real soon.

Shopping Our Stash wants you to use Your Oldest Tree

If you are looking for my Clear it Out Tuesday post scroll down or just click Here.
Stamp that is,  I’m sure it’s been a long, long time since that first tree stamp has seen ink, just think how happy it will be when you give it some LOVE. I know mine has not seen ink in a long time, it was the very first tree stamp I bought and it is a Christmas stamp.  I also dug deep in my papers and found some really heavy stardream cardstock, I haven’t any idea how long I’ve had it but it’s so pretty I didn’t want to cut it. (sad isn’t it) Because of the cardstock the card was very hard to photograph.
IMG_2040
The stamp I used is Scribbled Tree from Hero Arts 2000 and the Merry Christmas is also Hero Arts 1999 bought at the same time at The Butterfly Moon the first year I started stamping. I stamped with Versamark watermark ink and embossed in pewter embossing powder from Stampin’up, the gray ribbon is also from SU and never been opened.
IMG_2039
I finished the inside with a sentiment from Stampabilities. If you remember I’m not a CAS stamper but I’m very pleased with this one.
Now it’s your turn to dig that oldest tree stamp and dazzle us with your projects. Check out the rules of the challenge at Shopping Our Stash and while you are there have a look at all the different old tree stamps the design team has used. Awesome.
Thanks for checking in at my blog today and come back again soon.

It’s a GREEN challenge at Clear it Out Tuesday

We were hoping by having a GREEN challenge it would bring us some Spring Greens but unfortunately it’s still white out there. The theme at Clear it Out Tuesday is Green and the stash item is green embellishments. The sponsor is Stitchy Bear Outlet and there are three sponsors from the store. My image is from Hope Jacare, it’s kind of a funky owl and I have decided it might be a good masculine card so kept it pretty simple.
IMG_2036
I coloured the image with my spectrum noir and bic markers layered it on close to cocoa. The patterned paper is from a DCWV stack that name eludes me but it’s made with quite a good percentage of recycled material. The green strip I ran through the big shot in  the clouds folder, then added the fibres for visual interest.
IMG_2037
Here is the inside I added the green and a strip of the patterned paper that was left from the front.

challenges I am entering this in....Hiding in My Craft Room Lets go digital.

Thanks for looking today and find that “green” in your scrap bucket that is left over from St. Paddy’s day and add it to the Clear it Out Tuesday Challenge blog,

Just a reminder the challenge ends Monday March 31st at 8 p.m.

Modes of Transportation Challenge continues ~~~~~~~

My goodness another week has spun by, spring has arrived on the calendar but unfortunately we are still getting snow in SWO.  Challenge #82, at The Cheerful Stamp Pad  Modes of Transportation is starting it’s second week, the sponsor is Lunagirl Vintage Images. For the second week I chose to make another Artist Trading Card, I love the little pieces of art. I used up a lot of scraps as well while making it.
IMG_2035
I layered the image on a piece of red shiny paper and then added it to a piece of glitter cardstock that an extra piece from an earlier ATC swap. then put is on red base, added he rhinestones and voila’ I was finished. I think it went together pretty nice.
We hope you will join us for the Modes of Transportation challenge at The Cheerful Stamp Pad the image doesn’t have to be vintage to enter just any image that has something to do with transportation.
Thanks for taking time to see what I’ve been doing on the weekend you are welcome to visit me anytime.

It’s Saturday!!! Time for challenge #4 at SSoS~~~~~

Challenge #4 keeping with the alphabet theme is “F” for Fancy Fold. Take a look at The Sisterhood of the Snarky Stamper’s Blog to find more about the Fancy Fold theme, there are some ideas for different folds and where to find them. I haven’t tried a lot of the fancy folds, I’ve tackled a triangle card, a spring card, gatefold with a twist and a center step card but this Double Fold card intrigued me, I found it on Sweet as a Gumdrop blog HERE, it looks extremely difficult but it isn’t.
IMG_2031.
This card isn’t the easiest to take a picture of but the next will give you a better idea.
IMG_2032
I used a Fluffles image, hoping it gave me the feeling of Spring, oh how I want to have Spring. Alas more snow is on it’s way so the weatherman says. I used some retired dsp from Stampin’up, a sentiment from a studio G clear set. The butterfly is a Cheery Lynn designs die, and the flower was stacked and from my stash.
IMG_2034
Here is it closed, although I needed to hold it closed to take the picture, but it gives you a better look at the butterfly and flower.
Thanks for stopping by today,  I hope you will take up the challenge to make a “Fancy Fold Card” for the Sisterhood of the Snarky Stampers.

Wow that week went fast, how did you  do with the Sentiments only challenge, I thought it was fun. At Shopping Our Stash we hope to  provide challenges that are fun and you can make a small dent in the stash you have happening. This challenge you get to dig into the button box and the ribbon bin, and put them on your project don’t forget to enter in the challenge you will find HERE. While you are there check out the great inspiration the rest of the design team has done.
IMG_2015
The image I used is from Lacy Sunshine and her name is Bitty Boo, isn’t she just the sweetest. Since she has buttons an bows on her I was all set before I added more, She was coloured with Spectrum Noir and Copic markers. I cut the image with spellbinders oval and I traced around the outside of them die and hand cut it, which of course wasn’t perfect so I did a bit of distressing, I then layered it on a spellbinders fancy oval cut.
IMG_2016
A close up of the buttons and distressing. (shudder)
IMG_2017
Semi finished inside.
Thanks for stopping by today and get your craft on and join the Buttons and Bows challenge at Shopping Our Stash  Singing the song Buttons and Bows is not necessary, although that’s what I’m doing right now. .

For my card I used Eleanor and Pickles making s’mores. I just love the little girl with the big, big glasses.
IMG_2025
I coloured the image with my spectrum noir and copics, I used three punches for my stash item. the leaves it’s a small ek punch, The flowers were punched with a Su punch I used a scrap of patterned paper from another project. The butterflies are an EK punch and I found a scrap of pearlized paper in the scrap box, they are shimmery. The patterned paper is from Cosmo Cricket 8 X 8 pack I picked up-at the farmer’s/flea market. To add a little more interest I added Dazzles thin line border stickers to both the front and the inside of the card.

Happy Monday morning and Happy St. Patrick’s Day!! that isn’t the challenge at The Cheerful Stamp Pad, the challenge is Modes of Transportation and the sponsor for challenge #82 is Lunagirl Vintage Images. For week one of the challenge I used a vintage train and made an Artist Trading Card which is 2 1/2 X 3 1/2 and usually a couple of layers and at least one embellishment, never sold, but traded or gifted. I quite often will put them on an A2 card.
IMG_2030
The base layer is wild wasabi, the image is layered on gold cardstock. I added a gold cord to represent the track and white opal liquid pearls to look like smoke from the engine.
Thanks for visiting today and I hope you will join in the challenge at The Cheerful Stamp Pad just pick one of the many ways you can travel.

Birthday Dragon………

Hello crafty friends and family, I just had to post a picture of the 5th Birthday card I made for my great grandson. It  was a lot of fun to make and a big thanks to one of my “snarky sisters” for the “wobble”
IMG_2021
The image is from Bugaboo digi stamps I fussy cut him out and attached him to a “wobble” you can find what they are by clicking HERE I received one with my Christmas card in the one on one swap. you can make him wobble by giving a little tug on his tail.
IMG_2022
Here is the finished inside of the card. The sentiment inside and the Happy Birthday are from a birthday set retired from  Stampin’up.

I would like to enter this in the BINGO challenge at Catch the Bug Challenge Blog. My ine is Bugaboo image, texture and the colour Green.

I was sorting some of my small stamps and “found” this cute little Fluffles stamp, you can only use it once a year but I’m so glad I could ink her up this week.
IMG_2018
I saw this sketch and just had to try it, I’m sure it will be used again too it’s great. It is from Seize The Sketch and it’s #15 that end on the 15th of March (sneaking it in quickly)

Sentiments Only Challenge at Shopping Our Stash #142

If you are looking for the Clear it Out Tuesday post for today scroll down or just click HERE.
Are you ready for a great challenge? All you have to do is pick a great sentiment and put it on the front of your project. The most difficullt part is picking the sentiment. I have quite a few I could have used but I chose this great sentiment from Inkadinkado. Here is what I came up with for the Shopping Our Stash design team. Don’t forget to head over to the blog and see what the rest of the team have done.
IMG_2008
The background is the textile embossing folder from Cuttlebug, I used the oval spellbinder’s dies and the flourish is from Cheery Lynn designs. I really shopped my stash for that one, I don’t know when I bought it or where. I think that means I have too much “stuff”
IMG_2010
I finished the inside with a simple Happy Birthday which is from a birthday sentiment set from Stampin’up.
IMG_2009
Here is a closer look at the embossing folder and flourish.
Thanks for checking today to see what I have been busy doing and I hope you find some time to enter the Sentiments Only challenge at Shopping Our Stash.

New Challenge at Clear it Out Tuesday!!!

The challenge at Clear it Out Tuesday is something we all need more of…..something for a child, and the stash item is Bright Colours. Now that should be easy peasy.. Our sponsor this week is Stamp Art by Katheryne check out her store and see the great digis she has to offer, like the one I chose for this week’s design team card.
IMG_2011
Isn’t he cute, and his little sidekick too. I coloured the image with spectrum noir and copic markers. I added the cloud embossing to the back ground, and the sentiment is from a Studio G clear stamp set. The spellbinders I used are Large and small rectangles and fancy labels dies.
 IMG_2013IMG_2012
using up some scrap pieces this is both sides of the inside of the card.
IMG_2014
just the cute little bug that is checking out the fishing pole.
Thanks for stopping by today and looking forward to seeing your “for a child” project using bright colours. Check out the main blog for the rules and while you are there have  a look at the great inspiration the rest of the design team have made for you, you can get there by clicking HERE.

Week #2 for Challenge # 81 Anything Goes

At The Cheerful Stamp Pad the Anything Goes challenge continues for another week. Gecko Galz  is the sponsor for the challenge. I used the second of the freebies on the sponsor’s site and some of the script that was left over from last week’s card. I coloured the image with my Spectrum Noir and Bic markers.
IMG_2006
The pink layer under the images were scraps from last week’s card as well and the dsp is from a long time retired paper from Stampin’up, the whole scrap I used was in my scrap folder, I have become very thrifty lately. I was in a hurry and didn’t take the time to find the right size sentiment for the front of the card and of course didn’t use one on the inside yet, I still have some time before I have to mail the Easter cards.
IMG_2007
I used the Spellbinders large scalloped rectangle to cut the pink from the pink layer that I used on the front. since you only see the edges I can use the center for some thing else. How many of you do this to save cardstock?
Thanks for having a peek today and hope you find some crafty time and join us at the Cheerful Stamp Pad for the Anything Goes challenge.

IMG_1999
Here is a close up, I added the rhinestones where there are buttons on her dress. the colours I used are Pear Pizzazz, not quite navy and GP white. Some retired dsp from Stampin’up.
IMG_2000

Now isn’t that background paper fabulous, I love it. The image is pre-coloured all I did was add some stickles to the flowers and butterflies. The spellbinder I used is Fancy labels 8 and the “lace” I picked up at a yard sale.(great score)
IMG_1994
Just a close-up of the writing that’s is on the image.
IMG_1995
I thought the inside sentiment just followed along with the balloon theme.
