Freshly Made Snowman

Had an update from Freshly Made Sketches saying there was still time to play so I got busy with a super cute snowman that was already sitting on my table begging to be used.  I had already saved the image of the sketch as I had planned to join but as usual other things took priority.  I was planning out a card and picked the patterned paper but when I saw the snowman I decided to use it

This cute snowman is one of a set of 4 from Sunshine Designs, the sentiment on the  banner masked and inked and stamped a few times before it worked.

His scarf and mitts were coloured with a spica glitter pen.

Finished inside of the card using up a few more scraps

N is for Naughty Christmas Card ~~ At the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers.

We are rockin' this challenge and hope you do too!!! Head over to the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Blog and check out what the rest of the team have  created for the challenge. This was a no-brainer for me I knew I would use my Dolly Mama Christmas stamp, it is a slightly larger stamp and made it 4 1/4 X 6 inches, most of the dolly mama stamps I have are fairly tall, it does limit the lay-out of the card but I used the sketch at Catch The Bug, Stella says Sketch.  So here it is!!!

I added a few black rhinestones

Close up of the sentiment

I finished the inside with a simple Merry Christmas die cut (hiding on my desk) and a fir tree that was also kicking around on my desk, wow two scraps less on my desk.

I want to enter this in

Thanks for spending some time here today and dig out those naughty stamps and create something for us at SoSS.

Shopping Our Stash #229 ~~ NO STAMPING!!!

Looking for my Clear it Out blog post just scroll down or click HERE.

Wow what a great challenge!!! Shopping our Stash's challenge is No Stamping (use just paper, die-cuts, stickers, rub-ons, etc)  **TWO WEEK CHALLENGE! This challenge gave me the push I needed to get out those dies that have been sitting in a drawer gathering dust. I really love to colour and even though I bought these dies I just never got around to using them and there are more coming too. Here is what I did for the challenge.

I think the sleigh and deer dies are three years old, never used, but the tree and sentiment are fairly new. The patterned paper and "snow" paper are from the scrap box.

here is a closer look at the sleigh and deer

I added some stickles to the ripped edge of the snow.

Thanks for stopping by today and remember that this challenge is two weeks to give our U.S. design team members time for Thanksgiving, do come back next Tuesday for a reminder post and more inspiration.

I chose some totally cute penguins from Bugaboo Stamps and here it is......

I used the sketch from Stella says Sketch at Catch the Bug challenge Blog.

Here is a close up of the super cute penguins, I coloured them with copics but the hats, scarves and mittens were coloured with spica glitter pens, although you can't see it they are quite sparkly.

Finished inside of the card.

Shopping Our Stash #228 wants you to give Thanks (US Thanksgiving)

Thursday November 26th will be the U.S. Thanksgiving and Shopping Our Stash  would like you to make a project to say Thanks or to make a Thanksgiving card/project. Since I am Canadian and our Thanksgiving was in October I made a "thank you" card. The stamp I used is from CardArt Flower Thank You from Hero Arts.  I'm not even sure it has seen ink before today but it sure made a quick card, or would have except I did some fussy cutting lol.

I layered the image on black then on pink, the flower was stamped, coloured and fussy cut.

I used Brilliance coral ink for part of the image, and added a few pink rhinestones

I left the inside blank as I will write a personal note.

Thanks for visiting today and for my U.S. visitors have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

My Altered Date Book

Since I was getting appointments into next year I decided to purchase a  2016/2017 date book, I wasn't excited about the picture but I knew I would alter it. I used Sketch 10 at the Crooked Stamper's blog of course a house mouse image, every time I take it out of my purse it will make me smile.

The dies I used are Big Scalloped dies from Spell binders and the alpha stamps are from Hero Arts

Here is what I started with.

Y is for Yodelay-ee-whooooo (music theme) at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers

New challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers is Y is for Yodelay-ee-whooooo or a Music theme. Boy there are lots of ways to go with this challenge and I had so many ideas but when I got an e-mail from Splitcoast Stampers for a Wednesday Tutorial I knew this was what I wanted to try and it worked very well for my grandson's birthday as he is a music fanatic.  Sadly there isn't any snark this week.

This is self explanatory, I stamped the woodgrain background stamp from Stamp'in up (retired)on crumb cake with sepia versafine ink. I followed the instructions to a "T" except I made the pick myself. The crumb cake layer was adhered to black cardstock and popped up with some fairly thick pop dots so the opening looks nice a deep.

Close up

Top Note used for the inside and used the music dies for the first time.

Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget to drop in to the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers check out the rules and see what the rest of the design team have for inspiration.

Save me a Bite!!!

I found time to play along with the challenge at House Mouse and friends Monday Challenge Blog for a second time. It was a lot of fun to make an "All White" card, of course the image can be coloured. This is Monica nibbling on a spearmint candy. You can find this stamp and more at House Mouse Designs.

I cut the image with a classic oval and layered it on a classic scalloped oval and popped it up on a Decorative Label spellbinder die. The embossing folder is a snowflake one from Stampin'up.

Close up of Monica.

Love this sentiment!!

Shopping Our Stash #226 ~~ Light My Fire

Shopping Our Stash  wants you toe Light My Fire ~~ that is make a project pertaining to light, lots of choices here. Fireplace, lights, sunshine etc. I chose to ink up a House Mouse stamp I have had for a while now and it's Muzzy hanging on a string of lights.

Since I was using a House Mouse I followed the current challenge for House Mousse and Friends Monday challenge Blog which was White. I used Shimmer white for the base and die cuts, the flowers (thought they looked like white poinsettias) are from Walmart.

Finished inside of the card.

A Snowman Trio

I saw this sketch last week from Freshly Made Sketches I wanted to try it as it looked great but the Cat Lover's Blog hop and other things got in the way, so when the "you still have time to enter" e-mail came through I worked on it then I looked at the blog and I had less than an hour to get this posted.

This is about CAS as you get from me but sketch 210 is awesome.
