Here comes Santa Claus.......

The jolly old fella is making his appearance at the Jingle Belle's Challenge!! Only a couple of days left to get this posted too.  Last Friday Lauren's card inspired me to dig out several dies that haven't seen a lot of action.

The Sleigh and reindeer are Marianne Designs (Creatables) The snow is an unbranded die and the fir trees are from Impression Obsession, I layered the sleigh and reindeer to give dimension. Since this was a "Santa" challenge I added the Santa hat brad (eyelet outlet store) to make it  appear as if Santa is driving the sleigh.

I also added an Eyelet Outlet tiny red rhinestone from a package of swirly bling to Rudolph's nose.

Finished the inside with scraps left over from the front of the card,  and a very appropriate sentiment.

Challenges I would like to enter;

Thanks for visiting on this last day of July and have a creative day!!!

It's a Wrap!!!

It's a wrap for the Eyelet Outlet Christmas in July Saturdays, I missed the first two but managed to find time to make two Christmas cards and this week I have two tags for you to view.  I hope you will also find time to go to the Eyelet Outlet Blog and see what the other design team members have made for this last Christmas in July Saturday.

I used my Sizzix tag die for the base,  The tag on the left I used a unmarked house die and a small fir tree. On the house I attached a Wreath brad and a super cute Snowman brad both are from the Eyelet Outlet Store, Blue enamel dots were used to simulate snow.

Now on the tag on the right I used Silver animal print washi tape, Swirly bling red rhinestones and a Sock Monkey with a Santa hat all are from the Eyelet Outlet store.

Closer look at the house tag.

Isn't that snowman super cute?

Well this was a little hard to photograph, the washi tape is very glittery.

The Christmas Sock Monkeys are on clearance right now just in-case you need some for your Christmas crafting.

I hope you have enjoyed the 5 Christmas in July Saturdays and found inspiration from the project from the design team that participated.

My term is finished but I will keep following the Eyelet Outlet Blog for awesome ideas on how to use the Eyelet Outlet Products.

Have an AWESOME Saturday!!!

Smile

Here I am with my last official post for the Eyelet Outlet Blog, the DT term is over. I will be participating in the last Christmas in July Saturday for the last one for the month. I have had a lot of fun designing for the Eyelet Outlet it has been fun trying to figure out different ways to use the products and I have learned a lot from the other design team members too.  I have always used the Eyelet Outlet Brads and had quite a nice collection too but best of all I'm not as washi tape challenged as I was.  So for my  card I used Purple pearl strips.

The card is 4 1/4 X 6 1/4 I put the strip of purple beads around the outside edge of the die cut lattice and put single beads in the centers of the cuts.  I also used the beads for the bodies of the Butterflies.

The beads are perfect for the butterfly bodies

I just used the Smile die-cut as the inside can be finished for a birthday or for a get well or just thinking of you.

The Pearl strips come in many colours and in rhinestone as well
the also co-ordinate with the swirly bling/pearls.

Check out the Eyelet Outlet Store for all your embellishments

Don't forget to visit the Eyelet Outlet Blog on Saturday for the last Christmas in July post and there will be two winners from the comments left on the blog.

Have an Awesome Day!!!

Butterflies, Bees, Dragonflies, Ants What do they have in Common?

It's the new challenge at Shopping Our Stash!!! Challenge #313 is all about bugs we want you to use any insect/bug on your project that you want to. I love butterflies so that is what I wanted to use and in a very different (for me) colour. So here is what I made.

I used an unbranded butterfly die and the sketch from Cheerful Sketches.
The white enamel dots are from the Eyelet Outlet Store.
I started out to make a  5  1/4 square card but as I was placing the oval on the finished card I realized the opening was in the wrong place and the sketch didn't work that way, so I cut the card at the fold and placed it on the 5 1/2 square base.  That shows I shouldn't be watching a good mystery movie while I put my card together.

Close up of the die-cut.

I didn't put a sentiment or finish the inside as this is one of those "generic" cards to finish as it is needed.

I will be entering this in:

Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget to check out the Main Blog and see what the rest of the design team have made.

Have a creative day!!

So head over to the Eyelet Outlet blog and see what fun some of the other design team members have made.  I love making Christmas cards all year as when its time to get them in the mail I have enough for all my friends and family as well as a couple of swaps.

I love this super cute image from Sami Stamps  and it works perfectly to use the  cute ornament brads from the Eyelet Outlet Store, I  must say that the image is  a valentine one and has hearts hanging also she is holding a heart but now she is holding a super cute candy cane from the Eyelet Outlet

Close-up of the ornaments and candy cane.

Finished inside of the card.

Up Yer Kilt!!!

Well we can never say there are boring challenges at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers  ~~ challenge #89 is U is for Up Yer Kilt. We want to see plaid on your card.  I use plaid a lot but usually for Christmas cards so I had to stretch my mind on this one.  I was pleased to acquire TH hipster stamps of course these stamps as well as the crazy birds are WAY out of my crafting technique but I used that age old spot on the computer called Google and found some inspiration.

I always think when in doubt Black and White is always vogue. .

Close up of the image.

Finished the inside with a favourite "old" birthday stamp.

There you have it my off the wall card with a bit of snark, thanks for checking out my card today, you have until Friday August 4th at midnight to get your "up the kilt" projects in.  Head over to the SoSS blog, check the rules and see what the rest of the design team have made.

Have a wonderful day!!!

How Much is that Kitty in the Window?

Good afternoon and a beautiful afternoon it is too.  Today on the Eyelet Outlet Blog I have  a super cute window card featuring brads from the Eyelet Outlet and Brads store.

I had this idea a while ago and I had to wait until I has some flower brads, they are mini flowers from the Eyelet Outlet Store. Since I was using the flower box I thought the garden tools (also from the eyelet outlet store) would look cute and peeking out of the window are two black kitties dreaming about the beautiful sunshine.

Here is a closer look at the super cute brads

Finished inside of the card.

Brads I used today:
Cat Brads (12 per pack black & white)
Garden tools (12 per pack fork & shovel)
Mini flower brads (minis also come in lady bugs, bees, leaves and mini birds)

Thanks for joining me today and have a wonderful week.
See you again next Tuesday at 3.01 EDT

You Light Up My Life...............

Are you humming along?  You're welcome.  Shopping Our Stash wants you to light up the blog with your creations using anything with light. I went with light bulbs....Christmas light bulbs.

Since I'm crafting with limited supplies, I only have  a couple of paper packs with me but the one had this polka dot paper in a coral colour and wow I found some cardstock that went along with it so I made a Christmas card in a non-traditional colour.  The ornament brads are from the Eyelet Outlet Store.  They are so cute I had better stock up.  Of course my image is from House Mouse Designs

Finished inside of the card.

Thats all for now thanks for visiting today and head over to the main blog and check out what the rest of the Design Team have made.

It's Saturday and at the Eyelet Outlet Blog it's Christmas in July!!!

I'm joining in the fun at the Eyelet Outlet Blog for Christmas in July!!! So after you have checked out my card head over to the EO blog and see the awesome projects some of the design team members have made.

For my card I used some unbranded dies both for the snow and for the Merry Christmas. I wanted to use those fabulous deer from the Eyelet Outlet store, they come 12 to a package and two different browns of course what would a winter scene be without a super cute snowman brad also an EO product.  So to give my card some pizzazz I added wink of stella to the snow lines and some bits of tiny clear swirl bling. (I have been working with the same package for months)

Close-up of the deer and check out that bling too.

Well that's all for this installment of Christmas in July

The Eyelet Outlet & Brads store has many other awesome Christmas brads, bling and washi tape.

Christmas Challenges I would like to enter.
Jingle Belles Rock ~~inspiration (I went with white and blue with a bit of sparkle.)

Hello.....................

Hello.....it's my day to post on the Eyelet Outlet Blog.   I was pondering on how to use the super cute flower brads from the Eyelet Outlet Store and thought I will make a  summer wreath (now I want poinsettia brads to make a winter wreath.)

The background was made by using green cardstock and the wide leaf washi tape (a favourite of mine) the leaf wreath is a Gina Marie die and the hello was cut twice once in green and once in black with an unbranded die and offset for dimension. Now to the fun part...placing the super cute stitched flower brads and those adorable colourful butterflies both are from the Eyelet Outlet.

Close up of the flowers and butterflies. I added some rhinestones from the Swirl Bling clear that I have been "parting" out bit by bit and there are lots left too.

Items I used
Wide Leaf Washi tape (comes in Flowers too)

I am so in love with all these products from the Eyelet Outlet especially the brads there is a set of brads for every occasion and for every card or scrapbook.

Thanks for visiting today and see you again next Tuesday for my regular post at 3.01 EDT

Don't forget about Saturday there is a Christmas in July post at the Eyelet Outlet Blog

CAS is for Simplicity Day

Wow not only do we shop our stash we have to make it simple. Most of my friends and family know I do NOT make "clean and simple cards" I'm a pile it on kinda gal.  But for Mimi's challenge at Shopping Our Stash I made a ...... wait for it......a ONE LAYER CARD!!!  Please check out the main blog for an explanation of the challenge as Mimi has a much better one than I can give you. Here is my design team card for the challenge.

I can't believe I actually made a one layer card. First I taped the card with washi tape to have a white border, using a makup brush and a Kaleidacolor Blue Breeze ink pad (shesh probably 8 years old and never been used) I layered the background. In keeping with the frugal consumption I made my own shimmer spray with perfect pearls (probably had them for 10 years) and water in a mini spray bottle, I then spritzed the background. The stamps I used are from a retired Stampin'up set called Upsy Daisy,.

I hope you can see the fabulous sparkly paper.

Before I sign off I hope you noticed the fabulous watermarks Lee made for me I just love it in Black or in white.  Lee is the fabulous creator of Edna at the Sisterhood of Snarky stampers.

Well friends and family that's all until next week. Please check out the rules, the write-up of the challenge as well as what the rest of the design team made for the challenge.

Saturday!!! and a NEW Challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky stampers!!!

Challenge #88 K is for Kids starts now at the Sisterhood of Snarky stampers.  Time to make some cards for the little "darlings" , I lucked out with this challenge as I had three commissioned cards for some "grands" so you are going to see all of them of course there is no snark on any of them.

When asked to make a couple of cards for a friend's grand children I wasn't ready for the themes, as you see this is Trolls (I didn't know they were back)  so I found a colouring book page on pinterest coloured it and made a shaker card.

The second card is as you see...Hot wheels. it was a bit easier as I just printed two images, again from pinterest and cut one car out and attached it with a wobble.

Third card (for a different grand)  was to have a train on it so I made it into a shaker card, all "boys" no matter what their age loves an interactive card.

Sentiment found on a verse site and I liked it so well I used it on both boy cards. As you see I didn't have enough room for his name on the outside and just squeezed it in on the inside.

Congratulations for making it the end of a long post now head over to the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers check out the rules and see what the rest of the design team have made. p.s. I think there is some snark on some of theirs.

A Beach Day!!

Happy Independence Day for my American friends, family and followers.  Canada Day is July 1st and had just a few days ago and we spent it at the cottage it only seemed appropriate to make a beach scene for my day at the Eyelet Outlet Blog.

I used three new spring brads from the Eyelet Outlet Store on my card and some seashells I had in my stash also from the Eyelet Outlet. I have been wanting to use those pink flamingos since I got them and finally some water to have them stand in.

The sandcastle is also one of the new spring brads look at the detail on it and the pink flamingos too.

As I was getting organized I spotted  the Turtle another new spring brad from the Eyelet Outlet store, you really need to visit the store and see the awesome brads not just for spring but for all occasions. Can you tell I LOVE the brads from the Eyelet Outlet?

The items I used today:

I've come to the end of my post for today but meet you here again next Tuesday at 3.01 p.m. EDT.

Show your Flag's Colours ~~ Challenge #310 at Shopping Our Stash

Welcome to a new challenge at Shopping Our Stash ~ Show the colours of your flag!!! Since it's just past Canada Day which is July 1st and the U.S.A. is celebrating July 4th we want you to fly your colours. Mine, since I live in Canada, is Red and White so I took the opportunity to make a Christmas Card as I'm way behind in my Christmas stash.

The image is one of my older house mouse designs stamps called "Gifts to Tie"  The Jingle Belles challenge is Stars and/or Stripes so I was inspired to use stripes.

I even cut the Merry Christmas from the striped paper leftover.

The striped theme was carried over to the inside and the sentiment is from Stampabilities  which unfortunately it is no longer operating.

There we are.....Red and White for Canada let's see the colours of your flag!!!

I'm entering this in:
Jingle Belles Rock ~~ Stars and/or Stripes or both
