Shopping Our Stash #327 is HALLOWEEN!!!

Wow it's Tuesday and it's Halloween!!! how cool is that. I made my Shopping Our Stash project for my Great grandson and he has received it already.  We made a triangle easel card in a class with a snowflake and the idea for this card was "born"  The first picture of the card it's closed so it's the front of the card as you take it out of  the envelope. You will have to scroll down to see the way it is as an easel card..

It was hard to get a picture of it as it didn't want to stay flat. I diecut the spider web three times and glued them together for stabilility. there is a spider in the center too and the sentiments are from a Halloween  stamp from Kraftin' Kimme (it has 21 sentiments)

Ta-Da the triangle easel card!!!

What could be cuter than a house mouse Dracula!!!

A second sentiment from the Kraftin' Kimmie sentiments, the spider web was only cut onece and flat attached then I layered 3 die cut spiders and popped it up with a black pop dot as the stopper.

We Three Kings ~~~ I mean Cats............

This weekend we are closing the cottage, it's always a sad day when we have to drain the water and I have to bring home all my crafty things, I have been taking some things home and if there isn't room in the car then we will have to make an extra trip, I managed to get a good start on the  Jingle Belles new challenge ~~ Not a creature was stirring. I decided to make things interesting when I read that Winter Wonderland challenge is Fun Folds, nothing like testing myself. So here is my fun fold critter card.

This is a Tri-fold shutter card, and a joy to photograph. I found the tutorial on Beccy's Place. The stamp i used is from Stampendous and dated 2004, I just found it adorable and great to send to someone that lives away. I die cut some houses to represent our house to yours.

Aren't those cute kitties adorable.

Hello is an unbranded die and the Merry Christmas is Gina Marie Designs.

It's Saturday!!! Time for a New Challenge at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers!!!

I can't believe that it's been two weeks, wow time is just flying by. The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers has an easy peasy challenge this time (unless you are me and chipboard challenged) it's C is for Chipboard so go dig in that hoard of chipboard pieces you just had to have and create something for us. I have letters I bought and haven't a clue what to do with them although I had some ideas but they were pretty big for what I wanted so I went with plan "b".

I won a prize at the Jingle Belles Rock last year and the sponsor was "just enough stuff" , in the prize package was a bundle of thin chipboard music letters and numbers. These were perfect. If you are in the market for vintage ephemera check Lauren's etsy store.  I checked out some designs on Pinterest and saved one from Betsy Veldman of Paper Crafts Connection and CASE'd it just because I loved the banners.

I used some oxide distress inks in worn lipstick and wilted violet on my teflon mat and dipped the letters in it just to give them some colour.

I elevated the letters for some dimension

Sorry my project was too cute to snark but I did carry the banner theme to the inside.

We have a sponsor for this challenge!! Zoe from Make it Crafty is offering $10.00  voucher for the Queen of Snark
This link takes you to the embellishments and now I want to shop!!!

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have some time to make a chipboard project so I have some ideas for the next time.
Head over to the MAIN BLOG and check out the rest of the design team's  projects (there is a lot of snark on them)

More House Mouse.................

I'm so excited!! I have another card for House Mouse & Friends Monday challenge, I made it for a friend's birthday and now she has received it I can show everyone.

I had a lot of fun making this 5 1/4 inch square card and using fall colours. Mustard/orange/yellows are not my go to colours but with Birthday cards I like keeping in the theme of the month.

I carried the square stitched die cuts to the inside. The sentiment is one of my new ones I bought at the Butterfly Moon in Lyndoch (Delhi) it's from Printworks and it's good for any occasion that only comes once  a year.

Halloween Mouse......

Well the Jingle Belles Pink Christmas is finished for this year but their new challenge starts at midnight or for me it will be morning. I thought I would show you a card I made for my great grandson (he is almost 5 months old) I have made a card for my older great grandson but it won't be posted until Tuesday.  I hope we can stop by soon to see them.

It's a pyramid or teepee card and you can find the instructions by doing a google search, it looks really complicated but it is really easy.  I used a Halloween image from House Mouse Designs. The sentiment is from a stamp from Kraftin' Kimmie (still working on the first 21)

As you see it folds flat for mailing. I use a bit of velcro for the closure of the card.

Wow a super CAS card from me? I used Tuesday Morning sketches #426 Sketch again, The stamp I used is Acrobat by Penny Black and it's from 2006 but I love it as it can be used for any occasion where you give gifts.

A close up of the image.

Jingle Belles Rock the Pink Christmas for the cure take #7

So happy I could finish another card for the Jingle Belles Challenge, I cut two Marianne Designs ornaments and only used one so I couldn't see the second pink glitter ornament just sitting around and Tuesday Morning Sketches had the perfect sketch for me to use.

Although the ornament looks copper it is really pink. I layered it on some white sparkle paper and used the same for the snowflakes.

close up but it still looks copper, these ornament dies I bought at least 4 years ago and it's the first time they have been cut.  Oh dear....I'm a hoarder.

Finished the inside with a Impression Obsession  sentiment.

Shopping Our Stash #326 ~~ That's Sketchy

Hello again!! Another week has just zoomed by and it's time for a new challenge at Shopping Our Stash!! That's Sketchy so pick a sketch and create a card with the sketch, please is you use a sketch challenge blog please give them credit.  I am combining my SOS challenge with the Jingle Belles Pink Christmas with a current sketch from Stamplorations, without any more chit chat here is my sketchy card.

When I saw the sketch I knew the stamp I wanted to use and it's Sunshine Designs set of 4 adorable snowmen, the company is no longer operating but you can find their stamps at the Frog's Whiskers  I bought them on a trip to Stittsville Ontario 8 to 10 years ago. I couldn't find any Christmas paper that has pink in it so I used some stripped paper from a paper pad I bought at Walmart at least 5 years ago, the glitter enamel dots are from the Eyelet Outlet.

Close up of the super cute "snowbabe"

finished the inside of the card with a sentiment from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.  both stamps I used today are from Canadian companies in my home province of Ontario.

Jingle Belles Rock ~~ Pink Christmas ~~ Take "5"

Are you tired of Pink Christmas cards yet? I'm not as I have the fifth card made for the Jingle Belles challenge, last week I made some pink shaving cream backgrounds, I used one in yesterday's ornament and today I used the second piece and I used it all!!! This card has been in my mind since the challenge was announced and I am so pleased with how it turned out.

To start with the background was emboss with a music background for another challenge and didn't work out but it was resurrected from the scrap box for this challenge. The trees and deer are from Impression Obssession and the rhinestones are from the Eyelet Outlet (been using one package for months) Spellbinders classic large oval and Floral oval was used for the frame. The stag is elevated for dimension.

The close up gives a better look at the shaving cream background and the elevation of the stag.

Finished the inside with the negative from the oval and a simple Merry Christmas sentiment that was cut earlier in the week and didn't fit my card, so nice to have "stuff" that is ready to use.

Pink Christmas for the Cure at the Jingle Belles.......take 4

I'm here with another Pink Christmas card for the Jingle Belles Rock challenge, this is #4 and #5 and 6 are in the works, I certainly want to keep up to last year and besides I love pink Christmas cards, I just wish I could find more Christmas paper with pink in it.  I just a sketch from Freshly Made Sketches which right at this moment only has 21 hours left so I best get on with my post.

Since I want to showcase the pink ornament and the snowflake circle so I went with a dark background and it has pink polka dots on it. The background of the ornament and the Merry Christmas are made with shaving cream background...just google it and you will find many videos.

The ornament is from Marianne Designs and it s set of two ornaments  and I used a left over piece of glitter paper

Finished inside of the card.

It was a Dark and Spooky Night................

Be afraid, very afraid............it's another spooky Halloween card. I seem to be on a roll with Halloween.

As with another card I had a few scraps, the houses were also slated for a Christmas card but Hubby said it looked too "halloween" so into the scrap box, the background was also a scrap of ominous sky so it became a spooky card, the bats are an old....really old Halloween set from Hero Arts, it is a boxed set of 6 stamps and I've had them for at least 15 years. the houses are an unbranded die.

Again a computer generated sentiment.

Naughty or Nice Witch?

I have been working on Halloween cards, not sure why because I only need 2 for my great grandsons but they are so much fun.  This one is a really cutesy card with an adorable Witch from Lacy sunshineI love Heather's images they are adorable.

I coloured and fussy cut the cute witch then built my card with some items in my scrap box, the light post was slated for a Christmas card, but didn't work, the grass is from an Easter project (I cut a few too many) The section of spiderweb was left over from another Halloween card, even the background was a scrap.

Sentiment is compurter generated from a free verse site.
